They are listed in the speedfan app in order from 0 to xx, depending on how many you have. But I am not able to figure out how to have it display the temp for the 2nd CPU core. There can be many depending on your case, motherboard, CPU, graphics card, etc. Mine uses MSI-AfterBurner, so, like CoreTemp8, I had to download the MSI afterburner program, install it, set it to boot to tray, and let it run in the background. As far as the GPU temps - you may want to look into what your skin is using for a source. You do need to install the latest version of the Speedfan application, found here: and put a shortcut to it in your Windows "Startup" folder in the Start menu so it automatically runs when Windows starts.Īfter you run Speedfan, open its GUI and decide which temperature sensors you wish to monitor in your Rainmeter skin. Once its running, CPU temps will display. It is developed to run on Microsoft Windows 10 and earlier operating systems. dll in Rainmeter\Plugins with an older one. It is free and open-source portable Hardware Monitor software that can measure CPU & GPU temperature along with fan speeds, voltages, load and clock speeds of a PC and Laptops. Any skin that includes one is making a mistake, and you need to just re-install Rainmeter over top of the existing installation if a skin has replaced the latest Speedfan. I dont really want to display all the cores as it gets a bit overkill and lets face it, you usually ignore all but the highest one. The Speedfan plugin comes with Rainmeter, and there is no need or reason to download any. Im trying to find a neat way to display the current maximum core usage or temp. Temperatures can be done with a couple of different plugins in Rainmeter, I will describe how to do it with the Speedfan plugin, as that is what I use. ![]()
